The objectives of the spring celebration were to:
• Conduct a brief lecture on plants’ & flowers’ varieties.
• Motivate students for plantation, plants’ protection and their conservation.
• Share the significance of Festivals that they bring everyone closer along with spreading joys
Spring season starts in Pakistan from February till May. It comes with all its attractive, eye catching colors and happiness and so it called as “the Season of Peace and the Season of Colors.” Spring is celebrated as the spring festival and flower exhibitions are arranged in this season to let kno0w people about the importance and different variety of flowers like roses, lilies, marigolds, jasmine, daffodils, etc.
Progressive Education Network (PEN) arranged the Spring celebrations in all PEN adopted schools across all clusters, each year. The knowledge on impact of plants on our lives, the names of trees & flowers, and their variety, plants are the source of oxygen for human breathing, and plants absorb toxic gases from the atmosphere was shared with students. Importance of gardening was told and students were asked to make it as their hobby. Students were provided time to use their creative skills to make colorful crowns, cards, charts and bouquets. Spring festival was aimed at conveying the important message that we need to protect our earth by planting more trees to make our earth beautiful and to make human life safer.
